I’m Charles Simpson Sr., and my career isn’t just defined by titles — it’s defined by curiosity, systems thinking, and a love for connecting technology with people and purpose.

My story didn’t start in marketing operations as most might expect — it started with a genuine interest in marketing and sales, even before I knew what Revenue Operations was. Early on, I found myself drawn to the mechanics behind how businesses attract, engage, and retain customers. I was just as energized by digging into data and customer journeys as I was by understanding why certain campaigns worked and others didn’t. That curiosity eventually led me into IT, where I learned how systems behave, how data flows, and how technology can either create friction or unlock possibility.

That technical foundation wasn’t a detour — it was a launchpad. It gave me a deep understanding of how technology actually works, which today powers my ability to build, optimize, and scale marketing systems that are reliable, integrated, and aligned with business outcomes.

As I transitioned into Marketing Operations, I realized that my love for marketing and sales wasn’t separate from my technical skills — it was what made my approach different. I instinctively saw revenue operations, CRM strategy, automation, and analytics as the connective tissue between business goals and the technology that supports them — long before I knew RevOps was even a recognized discipline.
